Just saw the Nine Inch Nails / Jane's Addiction show!
First off, Street Sweeper Social Club played (including the amazing Tom Morello and Boots Riley). I didn't recognize any songs played because I never heard the band until that night, but they did sound awesome and I got a few pics of Tom Morello I will upload later. Next up Nine Inch Nails played. Trent Reznor looked like he just woke up which was pretty cool! Opened with Home and closed the set with Hurt. They did play a lot of my favorite songs (Heresy! March of the Pigs, Mr. Self Destruct! Last! Suck! Wish, Down in It). They also played Survivalism, 1,000,000, the Fragile, the Downward Spiral, Head like a Hole, Reptile, Something I can Never Have and 2 cover songs which were Banged and Blown Through and Dead Souls. I was right in front of Robin Finck which was pretty cool (he threw a lot of water bottles out to us thirsty people!). Next up was Jane's Addiction! They opened with Three Days and closed with Jane Says. They also played (1%, Then She Did, Been Caught Stealing, Ain't No Right, Stop!, Mountain Song, Pigs in Zen, Whores, Ted Just Admit it, Summertime Rolls and the best song of the night: Ocean Size!). Perry Farrell came really close to my section too and I tried to reach my hand out to touch him, not too sure if I did though since I couldn't see that well. Was a very enjoyable night, then I went to see Isis the day afterwards which was awesome too! I was right in front of Jeff Caxide which was very awesome.
Anyway, that was my weekend!
